Description
IT Analyst : Jack of all Trades: Infrastructure, Cabling, Printers, DSL Connect, SW Programming (.net), PBX, Phone Systems.

Contract to hire opportunity in Dallas, TX.

This position will provide high level IT support and guidance to a field organization.

Evaluate the IT infrastructure needs for each facility in Region and develop action plans to meet these needs. This will include inspecting and analyzing the existing infrastructure of each facility, including phone systems, broadband connections, PC hardware, printers, files servers, controllers, and cabling. Each of these areas should be evaluated and adjusted to match the needs of the facilities.

Understand the job functions within the Region. Expected to analyze how each job function utilizes technology and determine if technology can be used to make Region employees more productive.

Act as liaisons between the field and the IT departments at the corporate office. Expected to communicate ideas and suggestions to HQ IT as well as communicate and champion IT projects that directly affect the field.

Bachelor of Science degree in a Technology field or equivalent experience
Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations
Ability to blend business knowledge, creativity, problem solving, and technical skills to develop innovative technical solutions to help achieve business objectives
Skill in conceptualizing solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior management
Solid understanding of current technologies, including WinTel hardware and operating systems, object-oriented languages, Web technologies and database systems, TCP/IP
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, internetworking devices, cabling, and printers
Working Knowledge of PBX phone systems
Understanding of AS/400 systems and Active Directory helpful
More than 4 years experience in related fields
6 or more years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience; experience in software engineering involving development and testing of applications is also beneficial
