IT Coordinator

Lee County is seeking an IT Coordinator to administer the Lee County network. The Coordinator will be responsible for all operational and technical aspects of IT implementation within the County.  Good communications skills and the ability to work in teams are important traits for a successful candidate. 

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and preferably 3 to 5years of professional experience working with the following:

• Systems Administration, including basic network design and maintenance, system backup, requirements gathering and purchasing, and database server administration.  Desired skills would include some programming skills, particularly of SQL, and web development knowledge to assist development of database-driven web sites.  Specific skills should include an intricate knowledge of Microsoft Windows based networks, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, firewall administration, and some hardware repair/maintenance knowledge. 
• Knowledge of GIS data, technology, and applications in a local government setting is desirable.

 Minimum Education:  An associate’s degree in computer science or a related field of study and 3 years of work experience, or 5 years equivalent work experience.
