The purpose of this position:* Represents the organization of all the business, operational and functional units and departments (Operations, HR, finance, Operations)* In charge of the IT Infrastructure Services Management for 2 company sites & offsite users located in the eastern side of the US.* Accountable for the efficient operation of IT (RUN)* In charge of the infrastructure implementation on site of transverse projects in line with priorities given by the Transverse Domain manager/coordinator.(BUILD)* In charge of the on-site customer satisfaction and on-site quality of serviceWhat you will be doing:Service Strategy: (5%) - Collecting Infrastructure IS needs from the units & of dispatching to IS Management accordingly.- Propose ideas & solutions to the IT management to transform IT Service Management into a Strategic Asset.* Financial Management: Propose the CAPEX requirement to maintain the IT Operations (RUN) and implement new solutions (log all capital expenses).Service Design: (10%)* Propose ideas & solutions on the design & the development of IT services & Service Management process. This includes input on the design of the technology, architecture, and management systems required to provide these services.* May be in charge alone or with another manager of the entire design phase of one transverse domain for IT services specific to North America.*Participate to the definition and design of a Service Catalog common to all US sites.* Service Level Management & Measurement Management: - Participate in the creation/maintenance of Service Level Agreements & Operations Level Agreement.- Monitor agreements & metrics for all the critical IT services used and/or hosted - Participates in the design of the measurement methods & metrics of the services, the architectures and their components, and the processes. - Produce and maintain an availability plan, a capacity plan, a Business Continuity plan and a Disaster Recovery plan for the IT Services and infrastructure hosted - Provide advice & guidance on all availability & capacity issues.* Information Security Management- Responsible for IS Security - Communicate & enforce the Information Security Guidelines and Policies - Manage & control the Accesses to the information for our users & some off site users - Control the anti-virus updates and windows security patches updates for all windows Servers and desktops/laptops.- Manage all the encryption devices & administer the certificates.Service Transition: (30%)- Plan, control & authorize all the Changes linked to the IT services and infrastructure hosted in NJ- Ensure that the Change Management process is well understood & applied by the IT team.- Manage & control the assets & the configuration database.- Ensure that the New Jersey IT team applied the process and maintain the CMDB up to date and accurate.- Plans upgrades & migration for infrastructure hosted and managed in .- Plans new tools implementations for New Jersey site in coordination with general guidelines of the North America Project Manager.- May be requested to act as a Project manager (or be part of a Project Team) for all the Company's sites in the US (and potentially Canada) for the roll-out of IT Group projects.Service Operation: (50%)* Verify that the Service Management processes in line with ITIL are strictly followed & that the Service Management tool and the directories (AD, E-Dir, E-Mail Gateways, Phone) are updated accurately, consistently and in a timely manner.* Manage the overall service desk activities and is responsible for Incidents and Service requests* Monitor & evaluate the activities of the Help Desk& provide motivation &d guidance to ensure operational efficiency & adherence to policies and procedures. * Control the quality of the IS support to end-users by monitoring Customer Survey, KPI & the log of the opened IS Service Requests. * Assist the Help Desk in prioritizing the tasks & with the organization of daily activities.* Organize & pilot the local implementation & retrofit of workstations, PCs, Mobility Laptops, printers, copiers, audio & video conference systems, as well as the phone.* Ultimate escalation point of the Help Desk. Provide support if needed during installation, configuration and troubleshooting * Backup the Help Desk when needed with the IS Systems Administrator.* Provide & manage the detailed technical skills and resources needed to support the ongoing operations of the IT Infrastructure in optimal condition.* Manage & control the Problem Management processes for all Problems linked to infrastructure services hosted in NJ* Monitor & evaluate the activities of the System Administrator & provide motivation & guidance ensuring operational efficiency * Backup the Network Engineer of the Company's NA NOC.* Control that the administration & maintenance of all services & Servers is performed daily.* Verify that all services are operating efficiently & in accordance with the SLAs defined.An ideal candidate must have:~ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering~ Minimum 4 years in Management Information Systems and/or services~ Proven Project Management experience (PMP a BIG Plus)~ Proven exp in network, systems administration & end-user support~ Strong knowledge of: Windows 2000 & 2003 Server, Active Directory 2000, MS Exchange 2000, Windows XP, Office 2003, Backup Exec, DNS, DHCP, Surf Control, MS Sharepoint~ Understand the ITIL best practices (ITIL V3 foundation certification a plus)~ Demonstrated skills of methodology, accuracy & reliability~ Excellent team playerSome travel may be required.
