Job description:
Video conferencing media infrastructure

Media infrastructure engineers lead or work in project teams delivering and documenting new network infrastructure capabilities. As part of Halo R&D, you will also specify and deliver infrastructure solutions ready for installation.

Halo requires the deployment of state of the art infrastructure capabilities to support emerging videoconferencing solutions. The infrastructure engineer will analyze IP networks, and specify, cost, select, program, and qualify complete solutions including various software apps and the standard HW they run on. This infrastructure engineer will work closely with HW, SW, and network engineers to optimize, prototype, debug, and document a complete system of media processing. The infrastructure engineer will need to become familiar with new technology as it becomes available.

Tasks also include infrastructure architecture analysis and recommendations.

Travel = 10%

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQIRED:
Typically a technical Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Masters degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.2 or more years of experience writing code (such as, and not limited to, Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net; databases like SqlServer/ Oracle; and Testing tools.

Experience of multiple full release cycles. Understanding of modern software development methodologies (Object). Understanding of modern software development tools and SCM. Understanding of Software Test methodologies, and testing tools. Strong understanding of Basic Database Administration.
