Job Title: IT Director
Reports To: President

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage the IT strategic plan and handle all day-to-day technology needs of the organization. Manage IT team responsible for all aspects of network, telecommunications, technical support, server administration, web design, system backups and recovery management. Requires a broad knowledge of all aspects of technology, including hardware, software, and communications, and a strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. IT Support/Project Management (70% Job)
Oversee the operation and IT needs of all markets and work with each department to ensure their technical needs are being met
Develop IT policies.
Administer and monitor the current security environment.
Direct system back-ups, disaster recovery plans, and recovery management.
Facilitate setup/support of the telephone systems
Direct user services such as Help Desk and technical support.
Provide direction and analysis for software enhancements.
Manage procurement of computers and supplies for new centers
Effectively direct all projects assigned to your managers and staff.
Manage all projects requiring IT involvement.
Direct web design/hosting functionality.
Manage software development of Practice Management System.

2. Planning and Development of IT Needs (25% of Job)
Direct the planning, engineering, implementing, and supporting of the LAN/WAN hardware, software, applications, and related services.
Advise Senior Management on IT needs
Plan and schedule installations considering timing, version compatibility and other factors.
Analyze system performance and address performance problems.
Establish, manage and review external service and support contracts
Prepare and maintain IT departmental budget and companys capital budget
Review contracts and invoices for payment
Responsible for high-level strategic planning, considering issues such as resource utilization, acquisition planning of new technologies, disaster recovery planning, overall system performance, and security on a strategic basis


3. Personnel Management (5%)
Hire, train, and supervise Information Technology staff.
Ensure that a personal development plan is in place for all staff that ensures their current skills are maintained and developed for the benefit of both the organization and the individual.

*A minimum of 10 years experience in an Information Technology Department and a minimum of 3 years of senior management is required.
*A BS in computer science or business administration preferred.
