Position Description (Busines Objects Engineer/Developer )
About the Team and Infrastructure Topology:
The Business Objects Development Support team is responsible for looking at the reporting needs of the SIR application and based on that provide reports to business users. These are ad-hoc to canned, small to very large reports. Both Crystal canned and Business Object ad-hoc reports are used. The team is also works with other teams building reports on Business Objects and attempts to consolidate the reports. This team is also responsible for providing tier-2/3 support in Production, installing, configuring and managing Business Objects and deploying reports.

Responsibilities:
Design and maintain canned and ad-hoc reports, universes and associated metadata.
Manage deployments of new code base or reports to production. Seek to continually improve the process via automation and repeatability.
Work with the vendor on any support cases. Seek and test resolutions.
Provide metrics and project planning updates for the long-running upgrades and changes.
Provide technical expertise and lead junior engineers as required.
Be on a 24x7 rotation schedule to provide tier-2/3 application support. 
Provide configuration and administration of security, clustering, failover setup.
Manage infrastructure changes to BO setup and monitor performance.

Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
Four or more years experience in a similar role advising on and support Business Objects development as well as production environments and configuration.
Four or more years of experience of developing reports.
Experience of using LSI files, BIAR files, Universe designer, Business Objects import wizard, Business Objects and Crystal APIs for deployment automation.
Experience of failover and recovery planning, design and testing.
Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability. 
Demonstrated experience in working in production environment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Excellent teaming and leadership skills.
Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple related efforts across concurrent project tasks.
Must have worked in a large scale environments with at least three BOXI Servers cluster and CMS.
Ability to work with platform teams to resolve infrastructure related issues.

Nice to have Skills:
Experience of documenting network and system specifications and diagrams using Visio.
Qualification Rating FNMACompany Default Category 4-7 years engineering experience in IT environment.
4+ Yrs. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
Yes Experience in implementation methodologies and the application development environment.
Yes Knowledge of the appropriate business functional area and the business.
3 (Moderately Strong) of 5 (Expert)
