Hours: 8a-5p, M-F

General Description: Responsible for providing in-house technical support for end users of the organization’s mainframe and personal computer hardware and software.

Essential Functions: Daily duties would include answering questions and resolving problems regarding all aspects of the organization’s information systems. Identifying opportunities for new or more efficient application of the organization’s technological capabilities. Participating in the evaluation of user difficulties and identifying situations requiring referral to internal or external technical, professional, or service personnel. Maintaining current knowledge of information systems technology and regulations. Participating in the recommendation of upgrades of hardware and software, or modifications to procedures to improve efficiency and maintain regulatory compliance. Providing individual or group training for personnel on the capabilities of specific information systems technology. Recommending appropriate and efficient methods of utilizing available hardware and software where appropriate.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business and significant experience in customer service and training, with helpdesk experience desired. Some PC and network experience would be desired. Highly organized and a problem solver, able to manage the job without close supervision.
