Description
JCPenney Information Technology has an immediate opening for an IT INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER .

The Project Manager designs and manages the development of the JCPenney Security Infrastructure. This challenging position is responsible for major aspects of design and implementation of software and hardware to support Information Security objectives across several platforms throughout the enterprise. As JCPenney responds to regulatory compliance and governance issues this position will be in the forefront of our support of these efforts .


Responsibilities:
1. Manages and participates in the development of the infrastructure to support substantial systems for JCPenney departments and businesses as required.

2. Manages and participates in the development of the infrastructure to support the development process, including initiating studies, evaluating and selecting outside vendors, and developing project outlines as required.

3. Manages and participates in maintenance activities, as assigned, for the existing infrastructure as required.

4. Monitors and participates in assigned projects to ensure they continue to meet user needs in an efficient and effective manner as required.

5. Manages the preparation of budgets and schedules for assigned projects, reviews results, and takes corrective action when necessary.

6. Leads and participates in determining the hardware and software resources needed to carry out the department's Company responsibilities.

7. Leads and participates in developing standards for the use of software throughout the department.

8. Assists in the career development of associates assigned to the project team.

Qualifications:
1. An undergraduate degree is required (preferably a computer science degree); a graduate degree is preferred. In lieu of formal education, 8 years' progressively more responsible technical experience could also suffice.

2. Because of the dynamic nature of this activity, a continuing education in the latest information systems techniques is required.

3. 8 ? 10 years' experience, with demonstrated performance in managing substantial systems design and implementation projects.

4. Proven project management skills

5. Architectural and Infrastructure design skills

6. Technical experience: .Net Technologies, Java, DB2, SQL , Unix & Windows platforms

7. Knowledge of LDAP directory structures and protocolsdf-tc
