Position Overview

The IT Infrastructure Manager is primarily responsible for delivering and managing scaleable IT infrastructure services. This includes assuring appropriate scalability in power, cooling, space, network and storage capabilities. In addition the Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for growing the Infrastructure Services team, as well as defining best practices and service level agreements for Acadian-s datacenter operations.

Responsibilities

-Manage and staff Infrastructure Services Team
-Develop and implement plans for the growth of datacenter electrical and mechanical facilities to support IT infrastructure scalability
-Develop and implement plans for the growth of critical IT storage and network services
-Manage and support IT service delivery to the Acadian business units 24X7.
-Propose and drive implementation of Infrastructure Service delivery procedures based on best practices.
-Work with business and IT team members to set Service Level Agreements (SLA) for Infrastructure Services
-Responsible for proactively monitoring and reporting on Infrastructure Services including gathering and reporting systems availability, performance and volume metrics, both in business and IT terms.

Experience/Skills

This person must have a strong systems administration and datacenter management background with at least 3 years of management experience. The ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose resolutions and direct their implementation is essential. Candidates must have a strong technical background, strong written and oral communication skills, project management skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. A successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with an aptitude for learning new skills and environments quickly while multi-tasking on more than one deliverable.

Core technologies (expertise expected):

- Bachelor-s degree is required
- A minimum of 5 years in critical data center operations.
- 3+ years supervisory experience in managing a 24X7X365 environment and staff preferred
- Windows 2000/2003 Server
- TCP/IP networks
- Server Performance Analysis
- Storage area networks (EMC Preferred)
- Outstanding time management skills required
- Must be highly self-motivated and customer service oriented.

Secondary technologies (mastery or familiarity with preferred):
- Blade Server technology (HP preferred)
- Enterprise job scheduling systems (such as Autosys, Tidal, Activebatch)
- Enterprise monitoring/trending systems (NetIQ, HP Openview, Tivoli, Argent)
- VMware
- Active Directory
- IT Security
- Exchange 2003
- UNIX Administration (preferably Solaris)
- Microsoft SQL Server
- IIS

Certifications:
- MSCE is a plus
- CISCO certification is a plus.
- A+ certification is a plus
- CDCP certification is a plus
