IT MANAGER 2

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Reports to the Vice President IT Operations. Responsible for the operations of enterprise monitoring and event management solutions in IT Operations.This manager will lead an operations and technical services team focused on operating the monitoring and event management tools and processes. It involves close coordination with other IT Operations factories in delivering end to end monitoring and integrated event management. Major responsibilities include:

• overseeing and operating the Red Alert and Problem Management System
• operating and deploying application monitoring systems (Topaz)
• maintaining SunMC operations and coordinating with factories on system monitoring
• operating and maintaining off-swan monitoring solutions
• operating and maintaining consolidation tools (TeamQuest)
• operating and maintaining Net Connect and SPS tools and processes
• technical support for tools including AppWorx, Autosysand other ERP tools
• providing requirements to CSSIT for tool enhancements and updates
• overseeing ehancements and priorities for EMS tools and processes

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Good understanding of Unix system administrationProven management and leadership skillsBasic foundation knowledge of ITIL terminology and processesGood understanding of IT Operations, processes and factoriesStrong understanding of group dynamics and netowrking to effect changeSigma basics

• running sigma projects and CAP skillsStrong meeting facilitation skills

  Good understanding of EMS tools & approachesStrong Unix system administrationApplication monitoring tools & techniquesSunMC,Topaz and network monitoring toolsKnowledge of Sun systems hardware and software at monitoring level
