Job Description:
Visto is seeking an experienced Manager of IT to manage it?s corporate infrastructure and IT staff.

Keys to success:
Significant hands-on IT technical skills and demonstrated IT Help Desk experience
Management expertise
Good communication and problem solving skills are also essential in this role

Responsibilities include:

* Manage Visto?s IT dept in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
* Ensure proper functioning of all IT systems and make upgrades as necessary (hands-on technical skill is a must)
* Identify and prioritize daily IT tasks, perform corrective action, proactively communicate on-going status to management.
* Work closely with VP of Operations to ensure firm understanding of critical success factors for corporate environment
* Provide dependable management of multiple mail servers, backup servers, VoIP
* Plan and supervise expansion of corporate networks, add l new servers, software applications and network hardware if necessary
* Ensure that appropriate and timely technical support and guidance are provided to all employees with respect to their IT needs
* Conduct necessary technical training to employees
* Ensure regular reporting of service performance metrics to corporate management based on logged service events
* Drive continuous improvement of existing IT processes and procedures with respect to service delivery, communicating changes across the IT organization in a proactive manner.
* Implement corporate security policies to ensure confidentiality of Visto?s products and customer data
* Manage procurement of IT materials and software



Educational Requirements:
* BA/BS: IS, CIS, CS, related technical degree; or equivalent applicable industry experience

Skills & Required Experience:
* Four to six years experience in database and JAVA development, database-based software design, and Internet protocols and technology
* 5 years of IT management experience (24x7)
* Extensive experience with planning and delivering IT projects
* Expertise in managing Microsoft Exchange servers (2000, 2003)
* Excellent knowledge of :
o common IT practices, policies and security standards.
o Windows domains (design, administration)
* Experience with:
o anti-spam, antivirus methodologies and related software
o Help Desk systems and reporting of IT Help Desk performance
* Knowledge of :
o UNIX systems, various storage technologies (SAN, NAS)
o LAN/WAN technologies including router/firewall configuration and switched technologies
* Working knowledge of network protocols is essential (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, NIS, NFS)
* Strong written and verbal communications skills

Bonus Points for:
* Experience with:
o Lotus Domino, IDS systems, Loadbalancers, PBX (VoIP)
o PGP, Perforce, TeamTrack
o Various mobile devices (Palm, PPC, Symbian, Smartphones)
