Education: Minimum B.S. in C.S. or E.E.

Experience: Minimum 7 years industrial experience, Minimum 5 years IT specific experience Minimum 1 year supervisor or manager experience.

Technical skills

Required: IP Network Design and Management, Wireless Networking. Desktop Support, Novel, MS WIndows NT.2000, XP, MS Windows NT.2000,2003 Server.

Desired: Telephony, MSSQL, Oracle, UNIX (HP-UX or Linux). VAX VMS, Web development (HTML, ASP, Cold Fusion, Java Script), ERP Systems.

Duties: Supervise the activities of the plant IT staff. Manage, expand and maintain the IP network within the facility. Direct management of specific servers and networking equipment including Windows NT server, Windows 2003 server, Nortel and 3Com switches, CISCO Wireless networking. Provide over-site for a 500 node computing network in a 24X7 production environment. Oversee the management of facility telephony including the main switch and cellular services. Work with the companies service supplier partners in the delivery of Information Technology solutions. Function as the facilities primary contact with the central IT organization for knowledge sharing and coordination of corporate initiative within the facility. Support the Engineering Production and the Management teams in the delivery of a comprehensive IT strategy. Serve as the Project Leader for major plant IT initiatives such as internet development / deployment of tools, provide the make / buy guidance to the IT team.
