Description
About The Posse Foundation:

The Posse Foundation is a not-for-profit youth leadership development and college access program that identifies, recruits, and trains diverse teams (“posses”) of public high school students and sends them off to top colleges around the country. In 2006, Posse’s partner universities awarded over $34 million in four-year college scholarships to 347 Posse Scholars from Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Through a carefully structured, three-month selection process, Posse candidates are evaluated using criteria beyond academic achievement, including leadership talent, desire to succeed and ability to work constructively with people from diverse backgrounds. Once a student is selected as a Posse Scholar, she/he attends an after-school, training program for the eight months directly before college begins. The Posse Program continues to work with its scholars in college through an on-campus program and a career development program.

Posse’s 2007 budget of $7.8 million supports programs in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City and Washington, D.C. Posse has a staff of 68 nationally. Posse is currently looking for an Information Technology Manager to work from Posse’s National office in New York City. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance and Administration.

Job Description:
