Description
SUMMARYResponsible for management of all information services related functions and the overall delivery systems of the credit union. These include the mainframe, personal computers, network operations, voice and data communications, optical/imaging systems, internet services, firewalls, voice response system, ATMs, and other hardware/software. Responsible for management of all electronic service related functions including member debit card, credit card and bill payer databases, and commercial electronic service support.Responsible for physical plant maintenance and repair.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain the strategy and future direction of technologies and protocols, telecommunications, hardware and software.Develop configuration and performance standards for the network. Implement and monitor controls to ensure standards are maintained.Evaluate business needs, objectives and goals, researching products available and designing procedures and systems to best meet those needs.Develop plans for implementation of new projects, coordinating process with project leader. Provide well-defined plans including procedures, documentation, deadlines, and accountability.Maintain awareness of changing trends in technology and regulation.Ensure compliance with rules and regulations governing plastic cards.Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan.Develop an annual budget. Recommend capital expenditures. Review and compare actual results to planned budgetary performance.Ensure hardware, software and network support is provided to internal staff and members in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.Ensure all physical credit union locations are maintained, in good working order and their appearance is a presentable image.Perform other duties or various special projects as assigned by Chief Financial Officer.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESManages the employees in the Information Services, Electronic Services and Physical Facilities Departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.Coach and direct staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with departmental goals, objectives of the credit union, external regulations, and budgetary requirements.Direct the department’s personnel administration activities including job assignment, training, performance evaluation, and compensation review.

Experience/Skills
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEFour year college degree in Management Information Systems or related fields or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years experience at a financial institution with management background.Ability to direct resources and provide objective leadership. Works well with people at all levels with the organization. Good people skills. Provides leadership to multiple groups at one time in a participative management environment. Possesses and utilizes good verbal and written communication skills.EFFORTThis position must be able to maintain a positive attitude toward the membership and fellow employees.This position must be able to make sound, level-headed decisions with the best interest of the credit union in mind, even in crisis situations.This position is expected to perform the necessary functions in an accurate and efficient manner.This position must be able to prioritize and simultaneously handle multiple tasks, with minimal direct supervision.WORK CONDITIONSMust be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the credit union. This position is responsible for a 24/7 operation. You may often be required to work unusual hours, involving pressing situations or considerable urgency. This position is normally demanding and requires a well-balanced approach to scheduled and unscheduled hours.
