Description
Responsible for a group of professionals engaged in the design, development, implementation, security and/or maintenance of business solution systems. The work of the group is primarily focused on the administering, supporting, analyzing and managing the pace and impact of information technology change on systems and infrastructure. This position also ensures the delivery, utilization and leveraging of applied information technology for global client groups at the minimum total cost of ownership. The primary result is that information technology systems are reliable and seamlessly integrated with work processes and people so that technology is easy to use, self-serve, and helps individuals throughout the enterprise do things they never did before or do things they have been doing more effectively and efficiently.

Participates in establishment of objectives, work plans, schedules and cost data for projects. Manages the activities of subordinates in the completion of assigned activities within time, cost and technical objectives; apprising management of related difficulties. Provides advice and counsel to customers (clients) on the integration of business processes. Negotiates and coordinates with other systems personnel to integrate assigned projects with larger systems activities. Maintains currency with and implements the latest methodologies and technologies which deliver effective business solutions. Maintains awareness of systems trends and developments and incorporates them into appropriate tasks. Ensures documentation of project activities including technical reports. Performs all personnel management activities for subordinates, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation and salary management; encourages professional development through job assignments, training and skills; communicates vision and supporting strategies to staff.

Responsible for managing collaborative relationships with IT groups. The objective of this activity is to influence the internal IT processes and activities to achieve operational excellence. Strong external relationships are required to influence development and support policies as well as provide deep access to 3rd party technical skills.
Manages the implementation of all application security designs in accordance with IT strategies and policies. The objective of this activity is secure, reliable, consistent, high-availability operations.
Participates in the technology review activities, in collaboration with the IT managers, to assess the security, compatibility, operability, supportability and IT cost of ownership.
Establishes practices to track and record application security issues.
Works closely with the Security Technology and Security Administration groups to ensure alignment on all security processes, procedures and implementations.
Ensures that all applications and ASP's are secured appropriately according to the standards and policies in place.
Develops and mentors staff to increase leadership, consultant, and technical skills. The purpose of this activity is to increase the contribution of individuals and the entire IT organization to the enterprise.

Requires a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or other related field. Requires 10+ years of relevant work experience with 2 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.

Experience in security and risk practices, as well as various IT technical roles, project management and IT systems implementation is required. This individual must demonstrate the ability to effectively analyze strategic and tactical technical issues and recommend alternatives. The person must demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. This individual must be capable of establishing influential and collaborative relationships with senior leaders and middle management globally. The ability to negotiate important, complex, non-routine issues and/or contracts is required.
