Full-time staff opportunity for an IT Operations Manager who will manage a department that provides operations, production control and both database (Oracle / SQL Server) and server support (UNIX / Windows). Traits and Characteristics:* Must have excellent planning, project management and problem solving skills along with superior communications and management abilities. * A broad knowledge of IT is required with in-depth knowledge of Windows, UNIX, Oracle and/or SQL Server. * Requires an IT related bachelors degree or equivalent AND a minimum of 10 years experience. Typical duties include:
* Manages operations global staff of DBAs, operators, system administrators, change management team in a matrixed environment
* Partners with the Network, Messaging, Architecture, Data Protection and Data Center to plan, establish, and manage policies and procedures for all areas of information technology; establish and maintain catalog of existing services, techniques and procedures
* Directs creation and maintenance of all environments required per established procedures and Service Level Agreements (e.g. development, test and production).
* Develops, implements and monitors information systems policies and controls to assure data accuracy and retention, security, systems availability and legal and regulatory compliance.
* Develops and manages timeliness and quality standards for all aspects of the data operations environment.
* Prepares reports for management on information systems plans, projects, performance and related matters.
* Prepares and administers budget for Information Technology Operations.
* Negotiates and monitors SLAs
* Supports change control process
* Controls production environment Individuals currently residing in the DFW / MetroPlex area are preferred. No third party candidates will be considered.
