Job Summary

The Manager of IT Operations will oversee system, network and desktop support for the development, implementation and administration of information technology (IT) initiatives that improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the clients infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience
2. At least 5 years of progressive experience in managing functions and departments dealing with the handling of system information and work flow. Experience should include substantial exposure to the design and development of software applications and relational database development (RDBMS) on multiple hardware platforms, and integrated information and communications systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3. Comprehensive knowledge of:
a. Business principles, methodologies, and techniques of administration, organization and management. These include, but are not limited to, knowledge of strategic operational planning and personnel administration.
b. Networking technologies, server technologies, LAN and WAN function and purpose.
c. Equipment and software characteristics of all computer systems and a detailed understanding of system features and their integration capabilities.
d. Helpdesk.
e. Functionality and characteristics of programming languages and database architecture.
f. Business process and workflow analysis.
g. Applicable external regulatory requirements (HIPPA) and their application to the IT area.
h. External vendor, partner, and client systems and interfaces and applicable business rules and practices.
4. Proven skills in:
a. Written and verbal communication.
b. Planning and organizing.
c. Management and leadership.
d. Interpersonal relationship building.
e. System analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
f. Network and system design and configuration.
g. Network and system capacity planning and security.
5. Demonstrated ability to:
a. Relate to all levels of the user community.
Preferred Qualifications

1. Two or more years of direct management or project management of major IT operations.
2. Two or more years of experience in health care setting, preferably in IT planning and analysis to support strategic business goals.
3. Knowledge of business principles and techniques of administration, organization, and management to include an understanding of the key business issues that exist in the Workers Compensation industry.
4. Knowledge of processes and procedures related to claims adjudication, medical case management, provider billing and reimbursement, medical bill review, and third party administration.

Primary Responsibilities

Management and Oversight:
1. Oversee the design, configuration, implementation, and documentation of the IT infrastructure.
2. Oversee all security analysis and infrastructure upgrade projects.
3. Oversee and coordinate system changes for new IT infrastructure changes.

Network Infrastructure:
1. Responsibility for the support of clients networks and network connectivity, including tuning, optimization, and capacity planning. All support procedures should be documented and cross trained with other members of team
2. Assist with administration, maintenance, development and implementation of policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of network and servers.
3. Lead role in the architecture, implementation and support of an enterprise wide network.
