We have an immediate need for a Outsourcing/Offshoring Manager - Publishing and Content Management - 1 year contract

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for managing some aspects of a Service Domain for services being provided by an External Service Provider (ESP).
Utilizes knowledge to resolve issues and ensure Service Domain goals and requirements are met.
Acts as the liaison for communications and escalation management between the ESP and with the end-users receiving the Services.
Evaluates the effectiveness of ESP performance in support of end-user
Responsible for analysis, reporting, dashboards, measurements and methodologies.
Expected to perform in a Project Management role for the Service Domain.

Typically requires eight to ten years of related experience.

Summary of the Role: The position will help our client develop a strategy for offshore sourcing of content processing services.
The position will evaluate the current offshoring scenario to standardize the sourcing process, rationalize pricing structures, develop a preferred vendor program, implement a vendor performance management framework and recommend a vendor consolidation strategy.
Responsibilities include:
Analyze the offshored content services and develop an approach for rate card normalization for a set of common services (Data conversion, Pre-Press etc.)
Identify additional offshoring opportunities in the Content Supply Chain
Conduct rate negotiation discussions with vendors and amend the contracts to reflect the new rates Standardize the sourcing processes by establishing templates for work requests, SOWs.
Implement standard MSAs for improved operations management and greater legal protection.
Develop a strategy to drive optimal content vendor mix, syndicate with the business units and implement a preferred vendor program through structured o RFP process o Contractual processes
Create SoWs, review internally and with vendors to implement transition to preferred vendor structure Implement a vendor performance management framework through SLAs, Risk/Reward models
Account for and report on utilization of content offshore vendors
Implement Industry best practices in content offshoring

Content Experience & Educational background:
Bachelor???s degree (Engineering degree preferred)
MBA or Equivalent degree preferred
Demonstrated experience in Vendor Rationalization initiatives in Content Management outsourcing and offshoring
Management Consulting background preferred
10+ years of Publishing and Content Management experience
5+ years of experience in managing large offshore programs in Content supply chain. Other Domain skills, Soft Skills & Certifications
Experience in the Professional Publishing Industry
Experience in global sourcing and supplier performance management
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Experience leading multi-location consulting engagements
Problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to resolve conflicts and gain consensus through collaboration
Ability to work with senior management and in a matrix environment Preferred
PMP Certification
CPM, CSMP certification

Travel: * 25% (To business Unit locations in U.S.A)
