Description

Interfaces across several functions to proactively assist in defining and executing operational excellence which may include definition of technical standards, design, problem-resolution, and associated systems integration.

Production Services:

Primary responsibilities for this role may include:

Prepares and maintains nightly production job schedules
Monitors jobs and schedules in the production environment
Responds to user request for the migration of development jobs into production
Provides ongoing technical support to internal users of production software
Provides technical support to clients with questions or problems related to production job scheduling issues.
Assists in the solving of client issues via trouble tickets that are routed to the team from the help desk
Verifies the processing of data files sent from and sent to our vendors.
Troubleshoots all problems that may come up during payroll processing and escalate when needed.
Sets up calendars for all offices to insure that the proper cycle period is processed each month.
Runs programs to determine the successful completion of all processing cycles.
Performs system maintenance such as backups and restores.
Creates production run sheets and process flow charts.
Provides input into monthly Metrics reports
Design and conduct thorough research and analysis of development related tools, techniques & components
Team with Functional Services and Development Services groups in the R&D capacity
Present analysis findings in cogent, communicative manner to management


Requirements:


3+ Years of Scheduling experience preferred
Experience with Unix based scheduling packages is preferred, Knowledge of IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Maestro
Past technical participation in one or more successful implementations of an
enterprise scheduling tool helpful.
Knowledge of Unix, Novell, Windows NT, and Lotus Notes helpful but not necessary.
Exceptional ability to rapidly learn, problem solve and think analytically
Experience in systems development and architecture
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to
communicate with both IT, tax professionals, and senior management

Productivity, initiative, professionalism, customer service attitude, attention to detail and quality, ability to multitask, team focus, strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and adherence to firm and US IT standard operating procedures.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Strong skills utilizing Lotus Notes databases and Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of technology/software relevant to team
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary for day-to-day operations and occasional weekend or after-hours coverage. May be required to carry cell phone, pager or blackberry.

May participate or assist in leading special projects
