Overview of RoleStandard Program Manager / Project Manager skills and experiences showing increasing levels of responsibility. This position will be responsible for ensuring development and delivery of our deposit taking platform on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards. Coordination, strong program and project management skills are required, in addition to a deep technical knowledge of deposit taking development and deployment. The successful candidate will have 7-10 years of relevant IT experience in the area of deposit taking / online banking development and have a thorough technical knowledge of transaction based systems and security. In addition, risk management skills are highly recommended. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Evidence of previous supplier management experience is required.

Job PurposeProvides direction and oversight to project teams to design, develop, deploy and sustain solutions that meet applicable business requirements. Responsible for a program or a single, highly complex project, manages interdependencies between projects within and outside scope of responsibility. Responsible for project deliverables, cost, schedule, and quality. Allocates and directs resources to accomplish project tasks, and maintains control project schedule(s) and deliverable quality. Responsible for resolving issues and mitigating risks, escalating issues/risks when appropriate. Manages project teams, which may include GMAC employee and/or vendor team members, informs the team of its progress; leads/develops GMAC staff members. Acts as team's interface to IT and Business Partners; develops/maintains strong relationship with vendor teams and vendor management. Supports development of RFPs/SOWs and vendor selection.

LevelScopeUses a broad and deep understanding of technical concepts in multiple specialized fields to develop solutions to problems and critical design issues. Work assignments are typically focused on critical products for the organization. Works independently and will likely supervise the work of lower level personnel.df-tc


Experience/Skills
Education & Experience BS and 8 + years or equivalent

Capabilities (1) Ability to manage staff and make personnel decisions
(2) Ability to manage the results and budgets of multiple complex IT projects that are high in complexity, size, and scope
(3) Must have extensive breadth of experience managing risks and delivering projects that are highly complex
(4) Ability to effectively communicate with other senior leaders of IT on program strategies and plans and negotiate quality solutions
(5) Ability to articulate business requirements and transform those into program strategies and project plans
(6) Ability to manage enterprise wide IT issues, conflicts, risks, and deliver projects within budget and scope
