IT Project Manager

No security clearance required - however candidates must hold U.S. Citizenship

(Remote work may be possible if oversight of LA office can be accomplished).*Our customer is a full service manufacturer of precision plastic products and value-added services for the Electronics, Automotive, Industrial, Medical and Consumer markets=*

Oversight of all operations of the IT department including:

" Ensuring service levels are being met and all issues, escalated or otherwise, are being resolved

" Ultimate responsibility for all IT equipment and data owned by company in the U.S., Mexico, and the United Kingdom

" Ensuring smooth operation, efficiency, and security of all networks and desktops/laptops

" Ensuring smooth operation of company ERP and manufacturing quality systems

" Management of a small staff of programmers who support ERP and quality systems

" Management of all outside vendors, including outsourced Network Admin/Helpdesk provider

" Project management for company IT initiatives

" Understanding all IT contracts

" Managing costs and procurement

" Accurate reporting out of IT group

" Acting as a backup programmer for Visual Basic/SQL applications

* IT Project Manager would report to the Director of IT and up to CFO.

" 5 years of experience managing an IT group, preferably managing programmers

" 5 years of experience programming in Visual Basic and SQL

" Understands networking and the function of all associated network devices

" Understands PBX and VOIP phone systems

" Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to upper management

" Clear communication and cooperation with upper management to accomplish strategic objectives or projects

" Able to manage costs on a limited budget

" Able to implement process improvements to achieve goals, streamline IT dept, or reduce costs

" Able to work effectively and drive results without direct oversight

" Must be willing to carry a cell phone and work evenings and weekends as required

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

" A Bachelor's Degree or 5 - 7 years or related experience

" The following Microsoft certifications are a plus (MCTS or MCSD)

HOURS OF WORK WILL BE M - F 9AM-5PM, WITH AVAILABILITY TO RESPOND TO SPECIAL REQUESTS AND NORMAL OFF HOUR OPERATIONS ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS TO RUN AN IT DEPARTMENT THAT DOES NOT IMPACT BUSINESS OPERATIONS. SOME FLEX HOURS COULD BE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION TO ACCOMMODATE ANY OFF HOURS THAT MAY BE INCURRED, WITHIN THE NORMAL SCOPE OF BEING AN IT MANAGER
