Description
Job Title: Systems Support Analyst III
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: IT Manager

Responsibilities:
Assist users with application and operating system use; troubleshoot application, operating system, printer, and local area network issues; configure and upgrade desktop and notebook PCs; track equipment inventory and configuration; manage server backups; and manage user and group accounts and permissions.
The individual will become involved in higher-level systems and network administration, including basic server administration and basic router configuration.
Participate and provide IT support in high level projects.
Analyzes new technologies and advises management on suitability.
Research, order and process IT parts and equipment as needed.
Provide support in assisting users with hardware and software use; troubleshoot specialized application issues; configure and upgrade desktop and notebook PCs; track equipment inventory and configuration; manage user and group accounts and access permissions.
May provide some after hours support for complex and critical business applications and issues.
Perform daily backups and monitor for successful completion of scheduled activities.
Perform installations of hardware and software using third party duplicate and deploy technology.
Deploy computer systems and other IT related equipment; must be able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
Provide basic troubleshooting and support for computerized Lab Equipment.
Able to perform task of System Support Analyst I and II
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Certification in one of the following is preferred: CCNA, MCDST, MCSA, or MCSE
The candidate must have experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000 Professional and Vista; a demonstrated, thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Ethernet networks and TCP/IP; and an understanding of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 security in a client-server environment and Active Directory.
Experience working with Treo and other mobile device.
Excellent customer management skills, attention to detail, and strong multi-tasking and follow through skills.
Minimum of 4 years experience with these technologies, or extensive professional training with practical experience.
Ability to follow through and document issues and resolutions.
Associates Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications highly recommended.
