Description
a. Discover, evaluate, assess and document DHHS networks to include security methodology best practices and tools. b. Install, configure and maintain network/desktop security tools. c. Network security audits/vulnerability assessments for DHHS. Gap analysis and physical security.d. INterface with divisional network teams at their locations as required for HIPAA/ISO related efforts, PC/network discovery and security evaluations and assistance with implementation of new secuirty tools as required. e. Develop plans for instrusion detection systems. f. Analyze and identify security trends based on incident activities, system logs and IDS logs. g. Provide technical documents and security advisories to destignated security staff. h. Assist in developing DHHS security policies and procedures. i. Working knowledge of HIPAA j. Working knowledge of firewalls. K. Working knowledge of mainframe RACF security.df-tc

Experience/Skills
REQUIRED:1. 5 years experience or more of progresive technical experience working with local and wide area network topology, including token ring and shared & switched Ethernet topology. 2. Expertise in PC/network discuovery and security assessments and techniques. 3. In depth knowledge of distributed computing using distributed processing, client server, and intranet/internet technologies. 4. Experience with physical security based on HIPAA and ISO 17799 regulations. 5. Experience in gap analysis based on HIPAA and ISO 17799 regulations. PREFERRED: 1. Experience with Internet Security Safe Suite Products 2. CISSP certification
