We have an immediate need for a IT Security Analyst - 6 month+ contract opportunity - work from home!

JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining and evolving a comprehensive cohesive information protection strategy, architecture, supporting frameworks and implementing into a security plan for a large IT Program.
Ensure enterprise architectures, strategic IT initiatives, enterprise and business unit systems, single-user technologies, IT projects, and technology specific security policies all fit within the Information Protection strategy and have the appropriate safeguards in place to be compliant with required privacy and legislated controls. The security plan and framework that will be used must fit the regulatory, policy, and security best practices.

Key Objectives and Deliverables
Will be responsible for developing a security architecture framework to be implemented within the Program, ensuring the framework aligns with Corporate Security policy, regulatory requirements and best security practices.
Provides strategic direction and serves as the subject matter expert for the security architecture and the implementation of appropriate safeguards and controls.
Ensures that audit and assessment findings, regulatory requirements, incident handling lessons learned and security best practices are accounted for in the security strategies and plans.
Contributes to the development of formally documented information protection security principles, policies standards, guidelines and procedures for system/solution architects and designers that will be incorporated into the detail design and build of the Program.
Ensures the security plan and framework is followed and implemented. Any changes are an integral part of our enterprise architectures, IT infrastructure and systems, Advocate for information protection security technology vision, strategy, standards and processes

Develops process frameworks for cross-team coordination and consistency.
Coordinates the management and direction of strategic information protection security projects
Evaluate vendor security product offerings and provide recommendations
Assists with, and provides advice on, security engineering and analysis activities as necessary
Provide hands on leadership and expertise for select IT security projects.

Requirements:
Knowledge of OWASP and ISO 17799/27002
Knowledge of LAN/WAN and internetworking design and management
Experience designing and managing security architecture for a large company
Experience developing Authentication and Authorization Frameworks
Knowledge of security architecture methodologies, industry best practices and generally accepted information security principles
Proven ability to collaboratively plan, document, and present security strategies, achieve buyin from IT leadership and manage the strategy implementation process
Exceptional knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure security (networks, databases, system services and server)
Writing security policies / procedures
Some project planning
