Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct reviews of projects to help determine the appropriate level of security, privacy and business continuity controls for new systems or enhancements to systems within the constraints of our architectural standards and business requirements. Participate in reviews of proposed projects or systems. Coordinate periodic assessments of systems in production. Review security controls design, recommends improvements. Create and document security architecture and controls for projects. Develop security tests for projects. Coordinate security policy exception requests for systems under review. Interpret IT Security policy and standards. Develop and recommend security standards and procedures. Provide advice to the IT staff and business users on a variety of security issues. Maintain, track, and follow up on all security design review requests. Configure and support and security tools as needed.




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience with implementation of encryption, knowledge of PKI and wireless networking
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of business processes, application and information technology general controls
  • Proven excellent communications skills, written and verbal (including speaking to groups)
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking skills and analytic ability
  • Demonstrated information security analysis abilities, including designing risk-based technical, procedural and administrative controls for application systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative alternatives to complex problems
  • Ability to influence a wide variety of individuals at different levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple concurrent projects

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Appropriate security certifications with CISSP
  • Proven working experience in a project management life cycle methodology environment
  • Proven working experience in at least one of the following: security architecture, information risk management, security analysis
  • Demonstrated experience developing process and procedures
  • Demonstrated IT project management experience
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools suite
  • Proven working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Unix operating system, Windows operating system (current versions)
  • Proven excellent partnering and teamwork skills
  • Proven excellent facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on assignments
