As Capital One continues to evolve as an organization, the need for associates to speak 'IT, OPS, and Business language is increasingly important. The Infrastructure and Financial Management team in US Card IT is looking for an individual who is looking for a challenge managing a team of individuals who will bring various technical and operational skills to bear to support the delivery of the Business innovation agenda.

This associate will manage a team of individuals who will work with both IT delivery teams and business innovation teams to help shape and shepherd new products, functionality changes and new business ideas from development to production.df-tc

Experience/Skills
Qualifications:
This role requires a firm understanding of Development methodologies and standard technologies used here at CapitalOne, The ideal candidate will be familiar with code design, development and rollout to production. Skills should include:

-Work with business partners and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of system and determine priority of needs.
-Manage standard system processes and enhancements to system
-Manage team of associates and contractors
-Manage up to 4 people
-Assist and coordinate complex problem solving discussions
-Effectively drive others to deliver solutions
-Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
-Leverage strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to communicate progress, risks and impacts to various levels of IT and Non-IT associates
-Focus on reuse / scalability of a solution

Required:
-Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Math or Science
-At least five years of IT experience, focused in Solutions Delivery
-Able to define, structure, and plan work
-Able to work on multiple concurrent projects
-Strong verbal and written communications skills, able to communicate with technical resources and upper management
-5-7 Years experience in Managing medium to large IT projects
-3-5 Years experience in Project Management
-3-5 Years experience in managing Teams
Basic Qualifications:
At least 1 year experience in Project Management.
At least 2 years experience in IT development and support.
