Description

Robert Half Technology is currently accepting applications for a three month contract to permanent position as an IT Support Specialist company for our client located in South Seattle. As the IT Support Specialist, you will administer and maintain local and wide area network server hardware and software, daily network maintenance, installation of new applications, distributing software upgrades, monitoring daily activity, and routine backups. As a member of the IT team, you will be called on to stretch your understanding of and knowledge of new areas of technology and software as the company needs expand. You will be called on to provide your expertise in creating workable software and hardware solutions to business needs or as directed by IT Manager.

    Support duties of the IT Support Specialist include:
  • Setup and support end User Workstations, Laptops, Blackberry Enterprise Server user mgmt.
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Office (all versions), Project, Visio, etc.
  • Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Suite Software
  • End user support on other software and connectivity

    Experience/Skills
  • Applicant needs to be a motivated self starter, eager to learn new technologies but methodical in new implementations.
  • Detail oriented is a must!
  • Flexible to work in a team environment / under instructions.
  • Have a sincere appreciation for the end user of systems under their administration.
  • Able to communicate and learn new technical procedures.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows 2000/ 2003 server administration (configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup and recovery).
  • Microsoft Active Directory management.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks and technologies.
  • Application Servers, File Servers, Print Serves, Web Servers.
