IT Support Technician

America's Second Harvest, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization, is seeking an individual to install and maintain all desktop and laptop computers and components (hardware and software). Administer network file, print, application, and database servers. Develop and administer network-based anti-virus software; distribute updates via server to workstations. Manage remote access environment (Citrix) and provide support for off-site users. Develop application/operating system upgrade plans as needed and implement. Manage and support internal email; including new users, mobile users and computer-related support. Initiate and follow through on service calls for computers and computer-related equipment. Track and respond to user support requests as received via email or telephone. Prepare and manage check-out of PC loaner equipment (laptops, LCDs, etc.). Manage daily tape backup rotation for all critical systems.  Identify and create tools that improve user productivity. Train staff in use of common applications and utilities. Plan and execute upgrades to key network components (server, disk storage, hub/router). Support and train users on Blackberrys.
