Description
Responsible for network design and ongoing review of network design. Works with IT department and business unit staff to model user requirements and determine service objectives.
Manages and maintains security of the network via I.D. and password assignment and management.

Manages and maintains Microsoft Active Directory environment.
Installs and maintains switches, hubs, firewalls, routers, and other components of the communications infrastructure.
Implements and utilizes network management applications.
Maintains accurate detailed documentation of physical and logical communications infrastructure designs.
In collaboration with the IT staff and the technology steering committee drafts policies and procedures governing network usage and physical and logical communications security.
Participates in or leads IT department projects including Disaster Avoidance and Recovery, infrastructure upgrades, construction projects, and technology implementations.
Other duties as assigned.
Special Requirements Experience with Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Cisco Routers, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems. Experience documenting Network and Security Policies and Procedures. Experience training and mentoring other team members. Strong Communication skills necessary for interfacing with team members and customers.df-tc
