IT Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for responding to IT emergencies, desktop client requests for assistance, and to assist with IT infrastructure upgrades as required
- Maintain/improve IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability and acceptable performance.
- Ability to provide technical assistance to Delivery, Customer Support, and Engineering/QA.
- Serve as company escalation point on in-house technical and service related issues
- Responsible for continuous improvements within the organization to implement permanent solutions to systemic IT problems
- Position located in Salem, NH


Qualifications:
- Bachelor-s Degree in MIS, Computer Science OR Equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in technical IT problem solving, including Web Technology, VPN tunneling
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and core products such as IIS and SQL Server
- Current and proven hardware and networking knowledge - SAN, RAID, NAS, Routers, MS Exchange administration, Virus protection (anti-spam, anti-spyware), LINUX, Active Directory and Sonic Wall
- 3 to 5 years experience working with internal and/or external customers
- Extremely organized, dependable, accurate, and efficient
- Able to work independently and be self-directed completing tasks on schedule
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
