Description
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an IT Technical Support Professional on a CONTRACT opportunity with a leading company in Concord, CA.

Description:
Provide technical and general support via telephone and email to users applying, using the online application system. All contacts must be conducted in an attentive, professional, and timely manner, being empathetic and firm but not brusque. Accuracy is imperative.

The goal of the position is to address and resolve issues when reported at least 90% of the time, and to follow up with programmers when necessary for resolution.

Training consists of one week of hands-on experience with the application to familiarize oneself with the requirements, options, and potential pitfalls users might encounter, along with supervised calls and emails.

The position will run into the first week of December.

Technical Support Job Requirements
-excellent written skills - including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
-excellent professional and pleasant phone manner using standard English, with applicants, parents and educators
-excellent overall communications skills
-attention to detail and excellent organization skills
-quick learner
-must work collaboratively and carry the full share of the workload
-work well under very high pressure
-ability to multitask helpful
-good interpersonal skills
-familiarity with Windows and PC's
-experience working with networks and LANs
-comfortable with Internet and basic Internet tools/options, especially with installing, configuring and operating various browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)
-familiarity with Microsoft Office products - particularly Excel, Access and Outlook
-prior call center experience a plus, but not necessary
-proficiency in a second language, particularly Chinese, desirable but not required
-college degree not required but some college experience is necessary
