Description
CDI is seeking an IT Technical Writer with experience documenting software development requirements and design, testing, and user manuals.

Work will include authoring various technical documents including requirements, design, test plans and user documentation.

This includes attending meetings and gathering requirements from the discussion.

It is expected the candidate will take ownership of such documents, assuming responsibility for keeping them up to date and actively seeking out additional information.

Experience in DoD-relevant areas including information security, technology rollout and IT customer relations is mandatory.

This is a full time position in the Washington, D.C. area that will involve some travel (<20% of the time) within the United States.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Bachelors Degree, ideally in a language-related or technical field.

2 + years experience with client-oriented work (preferably DoD or other government client) in the software development and testing field.

Must speak fluent English and possess good grammatical skills and a broad vocabulary.

A degree of creativity and initiative are expected at both the grammatical and document level.

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to Secret-level classified information.

Have experience interfacing with both internal and external clients.df-tc
