Description
IT Technician: Seeking candidates with a few months to two years experience for North County San Diego position. This is contract to hire. Applicants must be able to work for any employer in the US and must be within easy commuting distance of Oceanside, CA. DESCRIPTION: This position will provide first level IT support for hardware and software problems. Support is provided in person and by telephone. This is an entry level position. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supports PC workstations, peripherals and laptops. 2. Fix software and hardware problems at the end user's desktop or via telephone and remote control software. 3. Use HelpDesk software to track calls, maintain call history, and close calls with a resolution. 4. Provide first support on packaged applications. 5. Install new desktops, laptops, and hardware peripherals. 6. Provide support for Manufacturing computers and peripherals. 7. Troubleshoot and load desktop and laptop builds. 8. Configure software on desktops and laptops. 9. Maintain data for new installs and pre-install information. 10. Interact with other IT support personnel. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Working knowledge of packaged applications such as MS Office. 2. Working knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 2000. 3.
