Description
Large and multi-faceted legal firm is actively sourcing for a PC/Network Technician to join their IS team! This position offers great opportunity for growth, competitive benefits and compensation, and a strong level of stability. Candidates must have the skills to perform duties as listed below, and it is essential that you possess strong analytical skills, are proficient in time management, can maintain effective interpersonal skills (including excellent communication skills), and are highly organized. Any IT certifications increase eligibility for employment. Must have a Bachelors degree in computer science or similar field, a minimum of two years experience with hardware and software medium-sized information systems. Proficiency in all Windows-based operations is key.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintenance and repairs of equipment (scanners, fax machines, PCs/laptops, etc.) and networks.
- Coordination of service calls
- Roll out of new systems and equipment
- Troubleshooting and installation of monitors, keyboards, etc.
- Workstation dismantles and reconfigurations
- Maintenance and distribution of company laptops
- Creation of network folders and shortcuts
- Installs, configures and upgrades operating systems and software, may modify specific applications
- Installs, assembles and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure, printers, scanners and related hardware. Rewires or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration.
- Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including hardware/software, e-mail, network and equipment problems.
- Attends meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials.
