Description
Terrific opportunity for a professional individual ready to move ahead in a great career. As a IT Technician for this well known University, you will be responsible for general maintenance tasks and troubleshoots; repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization. This includes performing work on applications and trouble shooting basic hardware problems.
IT Campus/Division Technician must have or be willing to take and pass A+ certification tests within 60 days of hire.
Dell certification preferred.
Position may require employee to work evenings and/or weekends. It will require that the person perform some heavy lifting (computer hardware, audiovisual equipment etc.)
Travel to learning centers is required.
Troubleshoot technical issues in a timely manner.
Work independently with minimal supervision
Must have an understanding of the technical aspects of hardware equipment.
Must possess a valid driver's license as travel is generally required.
Must have the ability to follow oral and written direction as they relate to the functions described above. Must be able to interact effectively with end users to determine hardware and/or software issues as described above.
Customer service orientation and the ability to work on multiple projects required.
One - two years of personal computer technical experience is required, including the ability to perform basic PC troubleshooting repair and maintenance and configuration.
