SPHERION has an immediate need for a consulting resource to work with our client's internal Configuration Management project team. We are seeking support in the development of a long term vision with phased-in, incremental deliverables based on business value. Identifying real and achievable 2007 deliverables that return value is important. The successful candidate will provide insight associated with pitfalls we need to avoid; and, guidance based on implementation successes (best practices). This knowledge can only be gained from actual project experience (successful implementation).

Experience/Skills
Qualifications include:
A Senior Consultant that is ITIL certified (CfM Practitioner at a minimum)
Experience with the successful implementation of CfM/CMDB where the process did not previously exist
Experience in an environment similar to client's (tech and process maturity perspective)
o 1100 Total WIntel Servers (850 Physical / 250 VMs)
o 3 Mainframes (Outsource)
o 9 Physical AIX boxes and 28 LPAR
o 11,000 PCs
o 1200 Applications (Vendor and In-house)
o 1000 Logically Managed NW Devices
Experience in requirements definition (business need)
Experience with a variety of CMDB products (Unicenter, HP MAM/Universal, etc)
Experience with CfM Org development (related functions: Owner, Manager, Analyst, Librarian)
Experience with developing process and tool procedures for performing Identification, Control, Status Accounting, and Verification
Experience with documentation Pink Elephant Atlas experience would be a plus
Experience with the development of Service Improvement Plans
Experience with metrics/reporting development
