MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assembles and leads the project team.
-Follows I.S. project management methodology including the standards for tools, rules, and deliverables.
-Facilitates development and execution of the project schedule, and completion of project deliverables.
-Facilitates the project office steering committee meetings as required.
-Addresses and escalates project change requests to the project office steering committee for approval and prioritization.
-Actively monitors the status of all activities in the project. This includes all other I.S. department activities and participants involved in the project.
-Actively monitors the project budget against actual figures.
-Provides weekly project status reports.
-Chairs the project team meetings.
-Proactively manages project risks and issues.

Experience/Skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years experience in the Information Technology environment, managing large projects.
- Knowledge, training and certification regarding ITIL framework is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
- Previous experience working with multi-tiered projects, so a project that has dependencies with other concurrent projects.
- EXCELLENT communication skills, written and as a facilitator.
- Previous experience implementing vendor products.
- Excellent organizational skills; exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and projects with little or no supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others to achieve results.
- Excellent leadership skills, which includes the ability to set a vision and identify the action steps to achieve that vision, and the ability to motivate the team and stakeholders to take action without direct authority.
- Knowledgeable of the project life cycle and key components of project work.
