ITIL Service Management SpecialistLocation: Dallas, TXJob Description:* Implement ITIL concepts and techniques into the IT organization and responsible for reporting on measurements related to the process.* Analyze business requirements, develop service management strategies and roadmaps and ensure that the strategies are successfully adopted by IT and business units to address current business needs and future requirements* Create necessary ITIL artifacts and metrics (or coordinate where appropriate) to support ITIL processes which include Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition and Service Operation.* Serve as ITIL process advisor on cross-functional projects. Provide training and mentoring for functional teams to process related questions or issues and facilitates process related meetings* Participate on and/or lead service management projects* Perform independent and/or team research into new technology and processes* Lead service management technology evaluations* Be proactive in identifying and communicating any issues or lack of documentation that is required to successfully execute the process and related work procedures.* Clearly communicate to management any problems or issues related to the process.* Compile and analyze statistical data and trends relating to service level compliance and operational effectiveness.* Produce ongoing operational and service level reports, measurements and matrices related to departmental goals and objectives* Collaborates with other service managers to ensure consistency of delivery, adherence to best practices and continuous improvements* Facilitate root cause analysis of errors submitted or otherwise discovered* Organize and document all communications related to the processREQUIRED:* 3 plus years of IT Experience* Bachelor of Science Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent experience* 2 years of ITIL experience* 2 plus years of Incident, Program or Process Management experience* Experience in project management preferred.* Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously* Solid verbal and written communication skills* Ability to facilitate technical meetings and workgroups* Ability to interface with people at all levels* Strong problem solving tools and techniques* Strong knowledge and understanding of ITIL processDESIRED:* IT service management methodologies, concepts and technologies including tools is preferred* Application development methodologies * Network infrastructures (LAN & WAN technologies & protocols) * Capacity planning and performance management * Network and systems management knowledgedf-tc
