Description
Working under the supervision of the IVRS technical operations director, the IVRS Technical Services Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and management of 3+ members of the technical service's staff. These individuals will include but are not limited to Systems Administrators who are supporting the operational readiness of the IVRS platforms and associated systems plus Database Administrators who are supporting the operations of Oracle database instances running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The position will lead the preparation of systems and service initiatives, defined by the IVRS group, in accordance with PPD and appropriate FDA guidelines and procedures. He/she will provide review and follow-up of all database & system activities; and will coordinate these initiatives with the other IVRS project teams. The position will also liaison between technical operations and corporate IT thus ensuring that the group is on track with corporate lead initiatives that could add additional value/security to IVRS operations.

Hiring Requirements:
? Minimum of 10 years experience with IT Operations, including Help Desk support, system management and end user support.
? Experience with the operational environment of Windows NT/2000, enterprise level fax & email systems, Interactive Voice Response platforms and Oracle database servers.
? Experience in managing a technical staff of 3 or more.
? Demonstrated ability to define staff responsibilities, assign priorities and daily tasks, monitor results and evaluate individual performance.
? Thorough understanding of regulatory guidelines pertinent to the operations of computer systems.
? Demonstrated ability to provide projections for an annual capital budget for hardware and software.
? Demonstrated working knowledge of IT standards at a corporate or enterprise level.

Education and Experience:
? Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional certification and/or experience.
? Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
