Description
For the implementation specialist think installers. Low end, tech savvy, load the OS and the application, many times in the back room literally.

SUMMARY
Builds and configures systems for check and/or remittance processing systems. Loads computers with operating system and WFS application software. Prior to shipment, this position is responsible for testing of system to ensure delivery of quality product to customer site.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.Builds client systems to standard specifications.
2.Loads operating system and application.
3.Confirms system operation by conducting tests and monitoring outputs.
4.Optimizes system efficiency by analyzing performance indicators of peripherals as necessary and taking corrective measures as needed.
5.Researches and diagnoses problems related with hardwae, operating systems and networks.
6.Works closely with the Quality Control group to ensure new products and upgrades are compatible.
7.Works with implementation team to configure products to meet customer expectations.
8.Tests systems prior to delivery to ensure a quality product.

10.Unpacks and packs equipment.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
11.Provides feedback to Production Supervisor to improve processes and procedures.
12.Assists in developing and maintaining correct system build procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate Degree or higher in Information Technology, computer science or related field or in lieu of formal education, equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of Windows based Operating Systems and Networks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES COMPETENCIES
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality in daily work and completing sufficient quantity of work as defined by WFS.
Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form.

Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations.
Analytical ability and aptitude for working with detailed data.

Knowledge of banking or remittance processing.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT
The nature of the job requires sitting, standing, walking for periods of time. While performing the essential functions of the job one may occasionally bend/stoop, squat, crawl, reach above shoulder, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull. Frequent lifting/carrying minimum of 50 lbs. is required. The use of hands for repetitive simple grasping and fine manipulating is required. The job requires being around moving machinery. While performing the job, one will encounter frequent close paperwork, use of computer monitor, need for color vision, visual monotony. Must utilize hearing for occasional conversations, equipment monitoring, telephone use, and frequent background noise. There may be a need for occasional discrimination between hot/cold, sharp/dull, etc. High stress may occur. The job requires frequent independent decision-making. Adaptation to customer work environment for 2 3 weeks at a time. Frequently may be required to work in excess of 8 hours a day.

Travel: Primary scope of position requires 20% or more of air travel beyond 450-mile radius. To meet increased business needs, the position requires 50% or more air travel beyond 450-mile radius. Ground travel less than 450-mile radius. Both domestic and international travel required. May be required to be at customer site 2 or more weeks at a time.df-tc
