Description
The Implementation Technician will be responsible for travelling to all new SEI locations for the purposes of implementing the technical infrastructure for the location and managing the hand-off to the internal operations customer. This will include, but not be limited to, PC's, servers, telephony, LAN/WAN, UPS's, and structured cabling. They will also be the main point of contact with contractors and vendors on site and will need to be able to manage these resources effectively. This position will act as both the primary IT representative for a site installation, and be the on site representative working on behalf, and under the direction of, remote staff such as from the LAN/WAN or Telephony Teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requires at least 2 years experience in the field of troubleshooting and repair of "Wintel" based PC's, with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system and Office suites.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility to work extended overtime and weekends.
Basic knowledge of Windows networking and network protocols.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Must be able to work independently, at a site, without immediate supervision.

PREFERRED:
Microsoft certification a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Server software a plus.
Experience with Cisco or Nortel networking a plus.
Experience with "Voice over IP" telephony a plus.
Experience with Altiris Deployment Solutions is a plus.
Ability to work in a team environment.df-tc
