We are currently seeking an Industrial National Account Manager (NAM) to join our team. We are open to location within or close to a major metropolitan area.

In this role you will be responsible for generating revenue growth by utilizing a consultative selling approach in the retention of current Waste Management national accounts. The NAM is responsible for managing existing business relationships in order to achieve budgeted sales goals by developing and implementing sound retention strategies, utilizing strong negotiation efforts to preserve business, renewing existing business and contracts, and securing contract agreements from previously non-contracted customers.


Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Identifying, qualifying, and selling key National Accounts with the objective of developing long-term, mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Growing existing business.
  • Working with Corporate and Area personnel to develop National and Regional Account sales strategies.
  • Supporting Waste Management Divisions and Regions in their efforts to sell and manage their own National Accounts.
  • Serving as the single point of contact for corporate customers and managing assigned Waste Management business relationships for selected National customers.
  • Acquiring an in-depth understanding of assigned accounts, environmental industry trends, competition, environmental procurement needs, and special projects indentification.
  • Selling and coordinating Waste Management services while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Participating in special projects as assigned or needed.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical is required.
  • Five (5) years of professional sales experience in an Environmental, Waste or related industry is required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of transportation and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of personnel – waste coordinators to executive level.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate and/or document large selling techniques including business case development, account profiling, solution based selling, organizational and presentation skills, implementation and follow-up.
  • Ability to negotiate complex sales agreements.
  • Must have the ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Must have a basic understanding of a Microsoft Office environment.
  • All candidates MUST possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Internal candidate must be performing in above average capacity and be an employee in good standing.
  • This individual will be working independently without immediate supervision; must be self motivated and have a strong desire to acheive goals.
