Job Title: Very Strong Informatica/Cognos/Shell Scripting/Data Wharehouse/High Volume Development environment

Government Position: The candidate must be able to pass SF85 Government/Military background check

Location: Aurora, CO

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Position: This is an ongoing contract. They are looking for someone to start ASAP!

Pay rate: Please include your hourly rate (W2 or corp to corp)

rate: $80-85,000 Salary full time position

Description:

Essential Job Functions

Senior Informatica developer will be responsible for full software development lifecycle of healthcare-related ETL, including requirements definition, analysis, design, development, and support of testing and migration to Production.
Maintain consistent ETL standards, configuration management strategies and production deployment standards.
Responsible for full software development lifecycle of complex shell scripts which support both the ETL and other processes.
May assist in one or more components of the overall architecture of the data warehouse system.
May assist in full software development lifecycle of business intelligence components such as Cognos cubes.
Participate with team in formal and informal peer reviews, scheduling, and design presentations.
Basic Qualifications

ETL development experience (strongly preferred in Informatica) in the latest releases, and be knowledgeable and experienced in best practices design of ETL implementations in a high volume environment, including ETL software, database and hardware tuning.
Strong, demonstrable shell scripting experience.
Applicant should be knowledgeable and experienced in all types of data modeling, including strong dimensional modeling techniques. Applicant should be experienced with ETL development (Informatica strongly preferred) in a very large Database environment. Experience with data quality tools and knowledgeable in data quality approaches and techniques.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree in data management, computer science, or related field preferred.
Four or more years of experience in data management or computer programming.
Experience working with relational databases.
Experience working with programming concepts.
Experience working with data warehousing standards, strategies, and tools.

Good communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and support personnel
Analytical and problem solving skills for selecting data tools and resolving data warehousing issues
Good skills in data administration, repository management, and data warehousing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
