Informatica Developer - 73029

Job Description:
The Developer's role is to design, execute, and deliver components and/or solutions while adhering to strict project deadlines.  The developer must possess the ability to deliver business and technical solutions in a fast paced environment. Additionally, the developer must demonstrate strong communication skills and a "team player" attitude.

Responsibilities include:
?Work with closely business analysts and subject matter experts during data analysis phase
?Work with closely business analyst and development teams to understand business requirements and drive system architecture
?Design, execute, and QA components according to business requirements using technologies such as ETL, Java, Perl, etc.
?Provide documentation and cross training to other team members regarding component implementation
?Understand product & pricing data concepts, processes and data models beyond the scope of current assignments and continue to progress strategy for the platforms towards the groups' vision and stated goals

Skills:
Possess strong Technological, Analytical and Problem-solving Skills. Ability to work on occasional independent projects is necessary

At least 3 years of experience implementing medium to large scale system development projects.

Possess strong, proven and recent technical expertise using Informatica (ETL) products, SQL/Oracle, XML, and Scripting languages such as Perl/*sh on a Linux/Intel platform.

Exposure to Java (J2EE) Platform, Messaging Middleware and software version control utilities (ex. Clearcase) and Rational suite including use case methodology is beneficial

Self-motivated with demonstrable communication (verbal & written) skills and knowledge of best practices related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems is essential.
 
Experience with financial industry applications or products (equities, fixed income, derivatives indicative data) or reference data management is a strong plus.
