JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundamental Components: Provide statistical analysis of complex healthcare claims, pharmacy and lab data using multivariate statistical techniques; develop/implement advanced analytic and data-mining methods; data management (i.e. data acquisition , programming and documentation), research and identification of data quality issues; recommendations on design and analysis. Solve for business problems (e.g. practical and measurable statistical analyses), in-depth analysis of root causes/business issues.

Solutions Consulting and Decision Support: Understand health program design; evaluate, write and present information to customers with recommendations. Illustrate complex information in a clear and concise manner; creatively translate information using business knowledge. Support and consultation to primary business customers; interpret, analyze and present key findings to key internal customers. Interface with other functional areas, mentor and guide colleague team members.


SKILL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor?s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, actuarial science, etc., and at least 2-3 years experience in healthcare or financial analysis or similar analytical experience.
?Experience in importing and exporting data among various platforms
?Strong SQL and SAS programming skills (e.g. SAS Base, SAS STAT, SAS Macros).
?Strong reporting skills using Excel , Word and Access.
?Familiarity with complex databases and UNIX and/or mainframe environments.
?Ability to understand, run and execute previously written SAS in documenting the steps in all data processing tasks.
?Health care experience preferred ; pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
