Systems Developemt Sr Specialist

This position is for an Informatica Developer. The Candidate must have the ability to quickly comprehend the existing Informatica processes, build complex SQL queries and provide process improvement opportunities as well as assisting in new development. The Candidate would provide support to the development team and participate in the management of ongoing projects. The types of interface processes that the Candidate is responsible for include, but are not limited to, Pension Payroll, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Payroll, Health and Wealth Vendor interfaces, COBRA, Premium Reports and/or customized extracts. The Candidate needs to have excellent communication skills, both oral and written including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical users. Some on-call support will be needed.
EXPERIENCE:
The Candidate needs to have 3+ years of experience in Informatica programming and related experience with translation mapping, Unix knowledge, Basic Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word experience.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    The Candidate is required to work with business counterparts to resolve issues and plan projects. Duties for this position include:
  • Perform Informatica Programming development
  • Review existing Informatica configuration / architecture and lead efforts to tweak and tune the performance of an existing Informatica processes
  • Maintaining core mapplets that will be used cross-clients, modifying existing processes, debugging existing processes
  • Create custom mappings in Informatica to manipulate and transform data
  • Create high-level design documents, technical specifications, coding, unit testing, systems testing, perform post-production verification
  • Perform code review.
  • Develop and execute test plans
  • Develop documentation and assist with the transition to a production operations team
  • Mentor team members, delegate workload, assign projects, assist with complex inquiries, review work, and more
  • Coordinate the system development life cycle with the core development team, including offshore resources in our India Development Center and business analysts
    EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
    OTHER DESIREABLE SKILLS: Exposure to/Knowledge of SAS, Sybase, SQL, Unix (including AWK and Perl), and Cybermation.df-tc
