What you need:

-Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Psychology, or Computer Science (or equivalent/extensive professional experience).

- At least 4+ years of experience as a Website Information Architect, User Interface Designer, or User Experience designer.

-Experience working in a fast=paced, collaborative team environment.

-Experience working directly with software developers on the implementation of designs

-Solid understanding of best practices for Web based information architecture.

-Strong understanding of usability principles and techniques

-Experience in acquiring user data (conducting usability studies, performing user research, etc.)

Understanding of the technical potential and limitations when designing for dynamic AJAX-based Web 2.0 applications

Expert level skills in Visual design that can be shown through mockups and style guides

Understanding/experience with design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Dreamweaver, etc.)

Prototype experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and/or Flash is very helpful

Experience creating illustrations for stylized graphic artwork and icons is a strong plus


What you'll be doing:

-Gathering and deciphering business requirements while keeping customer objectives in mind

-Architecting the UI architecture, interface, interaction flow and "User Feel" of Web applications and Websites

-Creating conceptual diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, visual mockups and graphic assets

-Enhancing established style guides and UI patterns

-Enhancing and encouraging usability best practices

-You will lead technical, creative and business teams in user-centered design principles

-Conduct presentations on usability design work to company stakeholders and executives

-Conduct multi-variant testing and/or other user feedback loops that will help to implement the proper UI without the need for redesign
