Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Information Security Officer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the protection of our Client's business and clinical operations, the network, systems, and applications that support those operations.
  • Assigned information security custodial responsibilities (e.g., physical security, personnel security, incident handling, and security awareness) for the privacy and protection of our Client's information technology and information resources.
  • Maintain, enhance, and monitor for compliance, our Client's Information Security Program, by coordinating program activities with all departments and business units.
  • Implement a security risk management program that will, with a reasonable level of assurance, identify security risks in the enterprise network and critical business systems and applications.
  • Implement a security compliance program that ensures sufficient security policies and standards are available and that steps are implemented to assure that all personnel subject to our Client's information security measures are in conformance.
  • Establish a security education and awareness program that provides all workforce members the knowledge to protect sensitive information and critical systems.
  • Define security control processes and procedures and implement and maintain cost-effective security control measures consistent with the wishes of information owners.
  • Act as our Client's advocate for network-wide information security issues.
  • Judge the value of our Client's information assets to determine their sensitivity and criticality to successful business operations.
  • Establish information security controls for the privacy and protection of information assets and communicate those controls to the executive and management levels of our Client's infrastructure.
  • Determine the need for, develop, and disseminate information security policies and standards to address new or expanding threats to or vulnerabilities in our Client's network, its systems, and its applications.
  • Facilitate and provide security consulting for the implementation of security policies and standards throughout our Client's infrastructure.
  • Provide administrative, operational, and technical guidelines for the privacy and protection of information and ensure those guidelines are adhered to in all security-relevant activities associated with network, system, and application development.
  • Provide executive-level security consultation to ensure the timely and appropriate integration of security standards and practices.
  • Develop and implement a network security architecture for our Client's while maintaining the cost-effectiveness of system and network security safeguards.
  • Determine the statutory requirements regarding the privacy and protection of information and communicate this information to senior executives.
  • Determine the acceptable level of risk for critical systems and select appropriate controls for sensitive information.
  • Monitor contracted security services, such as intrusion detection and prevention services, penetration testing services, firewall services, etc.

    Required Skills:
  • 8+ years experience managing a security organization using a set of principles, methods, and techniques that ensure effective planning, scheduling, and controlling of work efforts to meet objectives (measurable in terms of cost, schedule and performance from the customer's perspective.
  • 8+ years of functional experience with firewalls; intrusion detection/prevention systems; and network, server, and desktop environments (e.g., Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, AS/400 mainframe, etc.).

    Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy regulations
  • Experience in the healthcare industry

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science
  • MS degree preferred

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
    CISSP, CISM
