Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Information Security Officer.

Responsibilities:
---------------------
Ensure that an effective Information Security Program is in place for a business unit across all locations and/or geographic regions; Provide consistent interpretation of Information Security Policy and Standards; Promote awareness and understanding of Information Security & Privacy Policy, Standards, and Guidelines to all levels of the business; (executives, managers, technical, business and support staff, consultants and vendors, etc.); Manage Information Security Risks through coordinating Security Risk Assessments and the Information Security Standards risk acceptance process; Ensure appropriate Information Security requirements and activities are covered in all development initiatives; Participate in IS&P initiatives; Coordinate the security testing of new and modified internet products & services; Maintain knowledge of current Information Security topics as they relate to the business environment; Ensure that Information Security solutions are consistent with both Information Security Policy, Standards, Guidance and architectural directions; Work with the businesses to ensure that existing audit trails and diagnostic tools are installed and results are monitored on a regular basis; oversee review of security administration reports; Provide guidance in resolving audit findings and ensuring closure; Lead the business in the development of corrective action plans as a result of self assessments, risk assessments and ethical hacks Prepare and submit monthly status and scorecards for Business Management, the CTO and the Information Security Forum

Requirements:
--------------------
6 or more years experience as a corporate information security officer in financial services.
2 or more years experience in dealing with international security, privacy, legal, and regulatory requirements.
2 or more years experience in security architecture or application architecture design.
Extensive knowledge of information security and privacy technologies.
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, communication and presentation skills.
Superior writing skills, ability to write for a variety of audiences including senior management, information security staff, operations and technology heads, and end-users.
Ability to be creative, innovative and thorough.
Strong organizational skills - attention to detail.
Bachelor degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
