Job Description
Leads/participates in projects and initiatives to Integrate security processes into company's project lifecycle, and Systems Development Lifecyle (SDLC).

Conducts application, project, and process Risk Assessments (RA) (not penetration testing). Implements application security testing (e.g. controls (e.g. security certification, access control), technologies (e.g. WebInspect, DevInspect, Watchfire, Fortify, Nmap, SiteDigger, Foundstone (SASS), Nessus, Paros Proxy, CREDANT Mobile Guardian. Possesses knowledge of latest trends in information security), procedures, methodologies, and best practices (e.g. OWASP, OSTMM, ASAP,) to support RA responsibility, and overarching goal of security/project/SDLC integration.

Tests, evaluates, works with vendors, recommends tools and methodologies to support overarching goal of information asset security/protection (e.g. Encryption, e-mail encryption, database encryption-native or third-party, information classification, wireless security, PDA/handheld security).
Leads/participates in activities to ensure company is in compliance with laws, regulations, and standards such as NERC CIP, SOX, Privacy, PII and HIPAA.
Maintains, administers, implements, upgrades, and promotes current processes and tools such as PowerBroker, BindView, Intrust, LogLogic, CONTROL-SA/PassPort, ClearTrust.

Demonstrates security-specific expert knowledge in one, and working knowledge of others from the following list: Windows XP-2000/3, .NET, UNIX, Java, SQL Server, Oracle, SOA, Active Directory, wireless security, database) (note: we will test your knowledge).

Assists in /leads vulnerability assessment and remediation activities (e.g. security patch application across the enterprise). Participates, assists, leads activities related to application access control.

Lives and breathes information security and is able to communicate, advocate, consult, instruct, chat on the subject to/with any audience, at any level, anytime. Has memorized passages from, considers as security bible, or worships as security guru or oracle of knowledge one of the following: Exploiting Software, Hacking Exposed, Building Secure Software, Gary McGraw, Burton Group, SANS, ISO 27001, ISO 17799.

Has RSS feeds from, or shortcuts to searchsecurity, seclists, secureinfo, securesoftware, securityfocus, se2600, tcpdump, webappsec, attrition, CERT, esecurityplanet, privacytimes.

Subscribes to any of a number of security periodicals and trade publications. Actively participates in security industry organizations (e.g. ISSA, ISACA).

Demonstrates the utmost flexibility and capability to switch from one activity to another on short notice, without demonstrating anger, frustration, loss of sense of purpose or humor.

Experience/Skills
Requirements
Master-s degree in Computer Science or other studies relevant to this position and more than 3 years experience with a major corporation

Bachelor-s degree in Computer Science or other studies relevant to this position and more than 6 years experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public, or private sector security organization. Some exposure in the international security arena is desirable.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred. S+, GIAC considered as well. PMP desired.
